This is the first time that our university has been approved for the Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School Program, and the school has made a breakthrough in the types and scales of enrollment of the Chinese Government Scholarship Program.

The “Silk Road” Chinese Government Scholarship Program aims to cultivate industry leaders and outstanding skilled talents for the Belt and Road countries. Relying on the characteristic and advantageous disciplines of the university, this application is aimed at 10 countries that jointly build the “Belt and Road”, and recruits master's and doctoral students in petroleum and natural gas engineering, geological resources and geological engineering. The approval of the project will enable the joint construction of national oil and gas resources exploration and development, help Chinese oil and gas industry enterprises to go global, and promote the internationalization of the university’s first-class disciplines.

The Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School Program aims to promote in-depth cooperation between Chinese and foreign universities and scientific research institutions in scientific research and talent training. The five approved projects focus on key areas such as “supporting the development of cutting-edge disciplines”, “strengthening the international communication of Chinese-style modernization”, and “empowering digital transformation and innovation-driven”, aiming to promote joint talent training, scientific research cooperation and cultural mutual learning. The foreign universities cooperating with the project are mainly well-known universities in the United States, Australia, Japan, Ireland, South Korea, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and other countries.

The university prioritized its bid for the Chinese Government Scholarship Program, establishing a dedicated task force that conducted over 10 coordination meetings, expert evaluations, and mock reviews to meticulously refine application materials. Wang Jianping, the Party Secretary of Yangtze University, provided direct guidance, with the Deputy Party Secretary; and Ao Tinghua, participated in the defense.
