Shahzad Ahmad, Vice President ofSt. Cloud State University(SCSU)in the United States, led a delegation on another visit to Yangtze University on June 12. The visit marked his second visit to Yangtze University since April 2024 and aimed to further deepen collaboration between the two universities while advancing their joint educational programs.
In the afternoon, the delegation met with students enrolled in the Sino‑foreign cooperative education program in Electrical Engineering and Automation at Teaching Building No. 16 on the East Campus. Representatives from St. Cloud State University introduced the University's history, academic strengths, and educational philosophy.

Vice President Ahmad highlighted St. Cloud State University's emphasis on hands-on laboratory instruction, project-based learning, and capstone design courses, noting that these approaches equip graduates with strong practical skills and excellent career prospects. He encouraged students to build a solid academic foundation and take full advantage of international learning opportunities.
The two universities also held a special briefing for students preparing to participate in the upcoming summer program in the United States. Discussions covered academic arrangements, cultural exchange, campus life, and travel preparations, helping students better prepare for their overseas study experience.
Later in the afternoon,Yang Wenxing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yangtze University Committee and Vice President of Yangtze University, met with the visiting delegation in the conference room of Teaching Building No. 6, Room 308. Representatives from relevant administrative offices and directors of relevant schools also attended the meeting.
On behalf of the University, Vice President Yang extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that the visit was not only an opportunity to renew friendship but also to chart the next stage of collaboration. Acknowledging the achievements the two universities have made together, he expressed confidence in expanding the partnership. Yang emphasized that Sino-foreign cooperative education is entering a new stage of high-quality development and proposed that both institutions seize this strategic opportunity to accelerate the application for a jointly established educational institution, elevating their cooperation from individual academic programs to a broader institutional partnership.

Vice President Ahmad expressed his appreciation for the University's warm hospitality and reaffirmed St. Cloud State University's commitment to its partnership with Yangtze University. He noted that the progress achieved by the two institutions over a relatively short period has been highly encouraging and pledged to actively support the joint application for a cooperative education institution. He also expressed his expectation that the partnership would continue to expand through deeper collaboration in faculty and student exchanges, joint curriculum development, and scientific research, with the goal of building a model for higher education cooperation between China and the United States.
