I am Alain Pierre Tchameni, a Cameroonian Postdoctoral Researcher in Oil and Gas well Engineering in the School of Petroleum Engineering, Yangtze University, Wuhan Campus, China. I came to China in October 2012 to pursue a 4-years of Master program (including 1-year of Chinese language) in Oilfield Chemistry at the same school. The quite enthusiastic and fascinated moments that I spent with my research team members and those of the university staff during my Msc studies were the key factors that not only encouraged, but also motivated me to pursue my PhD studies in Oil and Gas well Engineering in September 2016.

By assiduous work, I am currently authored of 11 publications (6 SCI, 3EI, and 2 ordinary papers) and co-authored of 7 publications (4 SCI, 2EI, and 1 ordinary paper) in international and peer-reviewed journals which has internationally raised the standard of Yangtze University. Based on these achievements, I was awarded twice the Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship in the year of 2015 and 2019. More importantly, all these could not have been achieved without the leadership and direction of Prof. Zhao Lin and Prof. Xie Binqiang to who my endless gratitude goes to. I am highly indebted for the supports offered to me by both International Students Office, Yangtze University and the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) throughout my studies in China.

Undoubtedly, Yangtze University is the pole of excellence in education and research. It is an honor and a privilege to be an alumnus of this renowned university whenever I will be. I also seize this opportunity to express my full commitment to recommend the university to prospective students who intend studying Oil and Gas and related majors. Yangtze University has the best Professors in oil and Gas and related majors in China. As the training involves theoretical courses and industrial attachments, after the students graduated, they are ready for the job markets.
