“Learning is like rowing upstream: not to advance is to drop back”. I am HANNA AMOANIMAA-DEDE BONSU from Ghana. After completing my master’s degree in Crop Genetics and Breeding at Guangdong Ocean University, I decided to pursue my passion and actualize my life aspirations. I am currently a PhD student at the School of Agriculture of Yangtze University, majoring in Crop Genetics and Breeding. At Yangtze University, I have been privileged to be part of a vibrant team of researchers headed by Professor Chen Zhonghua .
China has a long history of providing quality agriculture education focused on solving fundamental and strategic technological issues in agriculture and Yangtze University is not an exception. It is a comprehensive institution of higher learning, committed to making significant investments in one’s professional career. The ultramodern laboratories, international state-of-the-art research facilities, excellent professors, renowned scholars, and industry players, integrating agriculture with science and technology makes studying at Yangtze University exciting. With the series of academic seminars, conferences, and research presentations from experienced professors, students, and industry players, I am of no doubt that Yangtze University is the right choice for specialized training, in-depth knowledge acquisition, and skill development. The able succour of my supervisor, Professor Zeng Fanrong and her team will better prepare me for advanced scientific research and provide a milestone for great achievements and professional life ahead.
Life at Yangtze University has been exciting, as I am being exposed to the diverse culture, norms, and values of the Chinese people and I truly admire their hospitality, hard work, perseverance, commitment, and expertise in their field of practice. I am particularly convinced that Chinese are dedicated to their work and with efforts, they have set China as a true example for the entire globe. I deeply appreciate the School of Agriculture and School of International Education for facilitating my admission and making my continuous stay at Yangtze University breath-taking. I am more than happy to be part of this great family. I hope to return to my country after completion to share my knowledge and experiences with my people and also contribute immensely to achieving self-sufficiency in food production. I hope more international students will study at Yangtze University and realize their dream.

“学习如逆水行舟，不进则退”。我是来自加纳的 HANNA AMOANIMAA-DEDE BONSU。在广东海洋大学取得作物遗传育种专业硕士学位后，我决定追寻自己内心对更高层次知识的向往，以实现人生理想。我现在是长江大学农学院作物遗传育种专业的博士研究生，在长江大学，我很有幸成为了陈仲华教授所带领充满活力的研究团队一员。
中国长期以来一直在提供以解决农业基础和战略性技术问题为重点的优质农业教育，长江大学就是其中的代表之一。这是一所综合性高等学府，致力于给每个在校学生提供优质教育资源。这里有现代化的实验室、国际先进的仪器设备、优秀的教授、知名的学者和行业从业者，教学研紧密结合，长江大学成为了我追梦路上的最佳选择。通过来自经验丰富的教授、优秀的行业从业者和学生所参与的一系列学术会议和研究报告，我确信在这里学习是专业培训、更高层次知识获取和技能发展的正确选择。感谢曾凡荣教授和她团队的大力帮助，相信在长江大学学习的经历将成为我科学研究和职业生涯的一个里程碑。
长江大学的生活是令人兴奋的，因为我进一步接触到了中国的文化和价值观，我真的很钦佩中国人的热情好客、勤奋工作、坚持不懈的优良品格。中国人对工作的认真和脚踏实地，已经为世界树立了一个好榜样。非常感谢农学院和国际教育学院让我成为了长江大学的一员。我希望毕业后回到加纳，与加纳人民分享我的知识和经验，为实现粮食生产的自给自足做出自己的贡献。希望更多的国际学生来长江大学学习，实现他们的梦想。
