Yangtze University Held a Review Meeting for International All Scholarship Students

According to the document of China Scholarship Council and Yangtze University, School of International Education held the review meeting of international scholarship students in the spring semester of 2022 in the afternoon of May 13, 2022. A total of 42 international postgraduates’ students from more than 10 countries, including the United States, Malaysia, Laos and Ghana participated both online and offline in the evaluation session.

In accordance with the latest requirements of this review, all international students made a summary of their performance in the spring semester with a well-prepared PowerPoint presentation, which mainly covered four aspects: moral character, study/research, attitude and activity performance. The evaluation session did not only provide a platform for the middle and senior international students to showcase their achievements, but also provided an opportunity for the junior students to get to know and to learn from each other. Some of the students who participated published papers in high level international journals that are indexed by SCI, some had passed HSK Level 5 and HSK Level 6 exams, and others had participated in online international conferences and had obtained honors and certificates.

This evaluation of the international student scholarship was carried out in strict accordance with the documents of the China Scholarship Council and Yangtze University, ensuring that the evaluation was carried out in an orderly manner under the premise of openness, fairness and impartiality, which not only encouraged the study enthusiasm of the international scholarship student , but also clarified the study direction. This work is an important step for the School of International Education to improve the quality and efficiency of various scholarship students' training, and lay a solid foundation for further improving the training quality of international students' education.
